I am so excited for this show, Poirier killed it last time he came through town. These 2 together….

I received a (not quite dry) letter in the mail today that was composed of frowny face drawings and a ransom note-esque scrap of paper covered in cut up magazine letters that noted that if I drop below “super fucking awesome” in the quality of shows that I catch, I will explode. And Keanu Reeves won’t be around to save me!
Plus, when Daedelus came into town last, when he was at Loda, I was SO freaking excited to catch him. But unfortunately I had already purchased a pair of bus tickets to New York to see Duchess Says, and since they’re from Canada and NEVER tour, it made sense to catch that show. Halfway to NYC, we got a call from a friend to inform us that Duchess Says had canceled their show. We were too far to turn around and by the time we’d get to the drop off spot and caught another bus back to catch Daedelus, it would have already been over. So we were completely screwed out of seeing either! FML.
