I actually went along and “historically” traced this…I was 16, in boarding school, and used to buy singles on tapes in England (singles used to be HUGE in the UK back then, I haven’t been in a few years since the digital boom took place but back then singles WERE what you bought). I still have a stash: Kenickie, St. Etienne, some Ace of Base (yesssss), piles of Blur, and Robyn’s “Show me love” among them, probably one of the more overplayed ones.

She was 18? 19? And the song was EVERYWHERE. I am pretty sure it used to haunt me in my sleep.
And as you probably know, now a decade later she is also BACK.
(i’ve been spreading the mp3s gospel every step of the way).
Not that she ever actually went anywhere, at least in Europe.
So, on her first big, fat US tour to support her much buzzed, “better Kylie than Kylie herself” EP “Rakamonie” (while awaiting the official US release of the full length) she is ….NOT STOPPING IN DC.

But hey, Philadelphia is only 2 hours away and tomorrow night she is playing The Fillmore.
It IS a school night, but I’ve done this before (and for a decidedly less soothing “Walkmen” and “The Duke Spirit”, natch) so you know, you should consider.
