The Taxlo DJs decided to prolong their 6 year Anniversary party series for several days ( weeks?) until it erupted into an all out frenzy of a dance party. As expected, Sonar was full of freshman art students, ex ravers from the 90s, people who wanted to grind ( hard) and everyone else in the world who wants to PARTY. That’s right, let it all loose and hang out (literally) and go freaking buck wild.
Dan Deacon and Diplo, as expected, created mass chaos as everyone bum rushed the stage for a chance to shake their shit two feet above ground. At one point Dan Deacon had so many ladies on stage pawing in his general direction I thought an orgy was very close to happening. Special appearances by…Oh Blaqstarr.. And umm, who else? Just a lil lady named Rye Rye who basically tore shit up next to Diplo. I think I even did the high school knee-in-crotch grind dance at this point.
Sadly the good times were over at 2 am but since we somehow all had the stamina of 16 year olds, the party forged on at a warehouse/living space not too far away, where Scottie B was pretty much killing it until the wee hours of the early morn. At this stage all I remember is lots of dancing,a a giant swing in the middle of the room, ikea beds in the side rooms and a lil kitty cat that was very confused by all the randoms in her sleepy house. After party almost killed me. Thanks Taxlo!
