I saw Clipse @ Artscape and took some photos… I don’t really know how to write though, I communicate only in pictograms, so after some cajoling, I asked my friends to sum up the show:
Friend #1 “Why ask me, I only saw a second, I had to pee.”
Friend #2 “With a backpack full of Natty Boh, and a drunken smile on my face, Clipse played a set that, compared to past performances, left me wanting more.”
Friend #3 “I was real stoked to see Clipse close out Artscape ‘08 and I was not disappointed, well not too disappointed. Its weird to see a them get the crowd pumped only to have to censor themselves. I mean, they were rapping about selling drugs but they can’t say “Fuck”, ummm WTF ? They still ruled hard though.”
I agree with Friend #3, which is maybe weird since I have known Friends #1 and #2 far longer… they were awesome, it was funny when they said censored curse-raps in the same way that the Big Lebowski is funny on network TV (”this is what happens when you meet a man in the Alps!”). All in all, a good time, and there is still no one that can rap about cocaine better than Clipse.
