Brightest Young Things

Once upon a time, Libby went to go see the Locust  with her XhardcoreX high school boyfriend. They played at the DOMES in Milwaukee of course, and it blew my mind.

So, I was super pumped to see ALL LEATHER- Justin Pearson of the Locust, Nathan Joyner of Some Girls, and Jung Sing of Maniqui Lazer. I mean babe lineup, an EP called Hung Like a Horse, and songs with prominent homo-psycho-sexual themes, sounds good to me.

Their single, "I don't hate Fags, God Does" is straight up Dim Mak does hardcore.

There were about 6 people at the show- but Mary Beth, Adrian, and I did enough Jameson induced Jam-moves for the entire Ottobar.

The band seemed tired or not into a Wednesday night show. The only thing I really remember was the drumming, Jung Sing slayed the electronic drum pads.

All in all I just wish they had played Velvet Lounge and had Exactly open- something like that. Not Ottobar on a Wednesday night, with a handful of people.
