There is something in the air today and I woke up feeling feisty. It’s going to be a good weekend… don’t ask how I know, but I can just feel it! I spent much of the week trying to hunt down the ideal plaid shirt (think lumberjack style) and while I patiently wait for it to arrive in the mail, check out these fashion happenings around the city.
A new Lululemon yoga store is opening soon over in Logan Circle. I had originally heard that it was supposed to open today, but their website says that the grand opening is the 26th. Has anyone heard anything? Anyone? Anyone?

If sneakers are you thing, then head over to the Puma Store in Georgetown on Saturday night for The Puma Archive – Celebrating Puma’s Moments in History. Afrika Bambaataa & Soul Sonic Force will be performing with Kurtis Blow. The event starts at 9pm (21+) and there will be free drinks. Make sure to RSVP here. |
Shake Your Booty in Adams Morgan has new falls arrivals. They seem to be a little heavier on the clothes and lighter on the actual shoes these days, but I like what I am seeing and so will you.
I am sure you have all heard by now the DC’s new fashion mag FW is out. Check out photos from the opening party here. If you don’t subscribe to the Post, then you won’t be getting a copy in the mail. No worries, you can find one in area hotels, spas and shops. Yeah… that’s kind of all I have to say about that.
And if you are wondering what exactly all the cool kids in Europe are rocking this fall, I just got this message from my lovely friend abroad…
“All models wear short short dresses or long t-shirts with leggings, tight black leather jackets and high heel ankle boots with platform. They came for fittings in London and for real they all looked the same.”
So do with that what you will.
While this is totally fashion unrelated, the Corcoran has some amazing events coming up. I went to see Chef Duff last night and had a blast. But the arts can’t survive without your help. This Tuesday is “Design in Spain Now: An Evening With Martin Azua and Juli Capella” and the talk is followed by a reception with food and wine. Go, go, go!
Ok, I need coffee and you need to get some work done so that the weekend can begin.
Baci baci!
