Ok, let’s get to it. I am fresh out of creativity this morning, so I am just going to give it to you straight. Aside from the forecast calling for rain all weekend (don’t forget to leave the house without your rain boots and umbrella), there are a few shopping events for you to hit up.
All weekend Lettie Gooch is having their Bye Bye Summer Sale with all spring/summer merch 50%-90% off.
I was reminded earlier that the Georgetown Flea Market is still happening on Sunday’s from 8am – 5pm at Hardy Middle School on Wisconsin Ave. So if vintage clothes are your thing, this is a good place to be.
Speaking of Vintage, Annie Cream Cheese in Georgetown is packed with new fall items for men and women. They also accept clothes to sell on a walk-in basis (except for weekends when you have to make an appointment).
If you need to buy a gift, but are coming up blank, pay a visit to Apres Peau on K Street. The store is stocked with fabulously random things you wouldn’t find anywhere else, from vintage DC map coasters to limited-edited DC cufflinks.
And don’t forget that the District Sample Sale is this Tuesday, Sept. 9. Tickets are still on sale and the buzz is that it should be a solid event. Proceeds go to the DC Rape Crisis Center.
My foot is in a boot for the next three weeks, so I am going try to find pants wide enough and long enough to hide this monster.
