It’s the weekend and despite all of the stores putting out their Spring clothing, it is still too cold to imagine wearing anything that exposes even an inch of skin.  But the weather people are saying that we may break 50 degrees, so there is hope yet. 

We all already know that every store is discounting just about everything.  And winter items are pretty much being given away to make room for Spring clothes.  But if you are tired of the typical, here are some fun style happenings for you.   

Caramel announced the launch of the Second Saturdays project. In partnership with Greater DC Cares , they will host a local nonprofit organization one Saturday a month and a percentage of sales will be donated to Greater DC Cares and the nonprofit.  Their first one takes place this Saturday.  Go to www.caramelfashion.com for more info. 

Also happening this Saturday is the Alexandria Boutique Warehouse Sale.  Old town boutiques including Hysteria, Treat, Queen Bee Designs will have  clearance deals on clothes, accessories, and home furnishings.  It all is going down at the George Washington Masonic Memorial, 101 Callahan Dr., Alexandria.

In case you didn’t notice all of the heart shaped candy at CVS, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.  Stock up for your sweetie at the Crafts and Kisses Valentine Craft Fair on Sunday (full preview coming shortly up, we promise-ed) from noon – 6pm at the Josephine Butler Parks Center, 2437 15th St. NW, at Euclid St.  And if you don’t have a sweetie, no worries… there is even a kissing booth.  Just make you to see who you are kissing before handing over your money.
