fashion: expensive. (at fashionologie).
COACD has all the hot fittings action: vena cava (drool. LOOK at those SHOES), eventide, and benjamin cho.
hamish bowles was snapped for the sartorialist, but most of scott schuman's fashion week-related pics are up over at his guest blog on style.com. some highlights so far: an H&M dress at bryant park, anna piaggi at derek lam, and rachel zoe at rodarte (anyone else think she looks A LITTLE dated? her SIGNATURE STYLE was so big a few years ago that she looks like a walking version of 2004).
faran krentcil guest-blogged for teen vogue, and quizzed erin fetherston on HOW TO GET STARTED and MAKE IT BIG (and answered my question of how one may be so lucky as to ALREADY OWN an E.F.-for-target bag), got gwen stefani to spill about her girl-crush on lily cole, and scored denim advice from daughter-of-carine julia restoin-roitfeld. on top of all this, she actually caught model iekeleine stange looking quasi-normal at alexander wang (for her own site, fashionista) - a feat in and of itself.
EVEN MORE GUEST-BLOGGING: the fug girls for NYmag.
cathy hoyrn really really really hated the L.A.M.B. show, and that is all she is going to say about it. (at on the runway.)
designer cynthia rowley, LA teen cory kennedy, model agyness deyn, and this guy's glasses got face hunted.
street peeper also caught agyness deyn (in hot pink), and leigh lezark of misshapes (looking pretty great - she usually has a penchant for office-ready black heels and drapey-cotton-jersey that i can't fully get behind) at the preen for topshop party. they also snapped tara subkoff at the eventide show - i had no clue whatsoever that she was doing a capsule collection for bebe, and i'm just totally confused by it. IOC is to bebe like...well, let's just say it's so weird that i can't even come up with a suitably clever comparison. and in case you wanted some outfit clarity, here's another picture of cor.ken. those booties look familiar...
...and what's this? cory kennedy to design for UO? i mean, i think she WEARS clothes really well, but...i'm confused again. (at fashionista).
alice temperley is quasi-new york-homeless. how charming! (also at fashionista).
wet t-shirt contest at Y-3; winner gets a totally avant-garde beer bong. (at on the runway.)
fear not; this whole beautiful debacle will continue in the bryant park tents for at least two more years. (at FabSugar.)
NY fashion week ends on wednesday, and i'm stoked to see what both the marc jacobs and the marc by marc shows will bring, and i'm REALLY excited to see pictures from the bruce show. i'll be back thursday with the most important part of fashion week (that i've so far cruelly neglected) - OMG THE CLOTHES.
God loves a cheerful giver.
I swear Agyness is totally my new boygirl crush
cory fucking kennedy started blabbing about a year ago about how she was designing her own line.
i'm not surprised it's for urban because they now have mark (cobrasnake) shooting their shoe catalogues, and a deal with nylon which showcases their stuff in the magazine. and cory social climbed her way all the way up to her own column in nylon, anyway.
i'm sorry, i think cory dresses well and accessorizes herself nicely, but dressing well has nothing to do with designing and producing clothes. i don't feel that kids who sit on their asses skipping school to get drunk every night should get their own clothing lines handed to them. maybe i'm just biased because i'm the same age as her and work my tail off AND STILL GO TO HIGH SCHOOL LIKE A NORMAL TEENAGER and suck it up instead of whining to my parents that i'm too hungover to go to math class or whatever, but girl don't do shit...girl aint qualified to do shit...and now she's getting her own line? (and, by "her own line," they really mean hiring other people to design for her, getting her to sign off on workroom sketches, and sticking her name on it)
come on.
first time checking this out, great resource
only got through half the links during work so far
