STYLE.biter: the week in fashion links

The ladies of Listopad celebrated the grand opening of their permanent pop-up shop at Mercedes Bien (upstairs at 2423 18th St, Adams Morgan) last weekend. The selection was amazing (I scored a killer, 70s, afro-print tunic) - but don’t take MY word for it: see fellow-DC-blogger raves from The President Wears Prada and the Anti-DC. Listopad is open for business Saturdays 12-6 and Sundays 12-5.

Milla Jovovich is back on the scene during Paris Fashion Week: pretty at Alta Mira NYC; pretty scary at Go Fug Yourself.

Garance Dore meets stylist Kate Lanphear, and the admiration that comes through in the French-to-English translation is just so CHARMING.

Denim experiments at A Continuous Lean.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no: animated versions of Leigh Lezark, Tinsley Mortimer, and others from the “Virtual Front Row” at Style.com. Just, no. It’s unimaginably creepy.

Viktor & Rolf Spring 2009: the online-only runway show. Starring Shalom Harlow, Shalom Harlow, and Shalom Harlow. The collection itself (named after an Audrey Hepburn movie) equally brought to mind Candyland, Tron, and the titular “Funny Face;” I’m way into it.

The Fashion Weeks. Have fun rolling around in them.

Twice this week Jezebel has been like three months late on commenting on fashion-related items. First Libby sends me this, a September 26 post discussing a Vogue Italia from last year, and then this past Wednesday’s post on the Stylista trailer (online since the beginning of summer). What are you, in DC? Hmmpph!
