Fall belting strategies, inspired by BCBG Max Azria. This isn’t so much “inspirational” as much as it’s just kind of weird (but not entirely displeasing) that they belted literally every single look on the runway. At Coutorture.
Betsy Lowther (of Fashion is Spinach) interviews Simon Doonan at Washingtonian.com’s Shop Around Blog; he manages to be wildly entertaining even when waxing philosophical: “Self-expression is the most important thing. And if you’re completely disinterested in clothes and want to wear a fanny pack and men’s overalls—fine, I don’t care…On the other hand, Vivienne Westwood said, “People who wear impressive clothes have better lives,” and I think there’s something to be said for that.”
Fashionista.com garners 200+ comments while bashing “designer impostors” in literally the snobbiest post I’ve ever read on the site, and follows up the very next day with an Elizabeth and James DIY. Didn’t we discuss this LAST week?
L’Wren Scott profiled in collage (and then, oddly, in a highly unnecessary film version of the collage) by NYTimes’s TMagazine. (via Fashionologie)
The Sisters Mulleavy and Rodarte’s “finest moments” (as photographed by Autumn De Wilde and modeled by Irina Lazareanu), at Dazed Digital.
Clueless (the MOST fashionable movie of the ENTIRE year I was in 8th grade) stylist Mona May is interviewed at NylonMag.com. Did you know she also styled The House Bunny? Which comes out next weekend? Which I’m really, really, really excited to see? NOW YOU DO.
If you need me THIS weekend I’ll be re-organizing my closets, re-reading The Cheap Date Guide to Style, and catching up on Hatnim Lee’s gorgeous blog. The end.
