STYLE.biter: the week in fashion links.

Refinery29 and Myspace put together The Countdown: Season II - a series of videos featuring “5 Designers. 5 Studios. 1 Feverish Race to Fashion Week.” I most enjoyed the Erin Fetherston video; I did not enjoy finding her MySpace page and discovering that I’m OLDER THAN HER.

Blog on the Cusp has a bare-bones (ha!) interview with Rag and Bone designer Marcus Wainwright.

Fashion week clearly takes STRATEGY. (at COACD.)

Style.com shares THEIR Fashion week picks, inlcuding Wendy Mullins’s first runway show in four years, Chloe Sevigny’s Opening Ceremony launch party, and the relaunch of the Halston line.

Karen Walker 08/09 sunglasses preview: Wigs! Whimsy! Wicked! (at the cool hunter.)

Fashionista AND Style Bubble AND The Coveted DIY some ombre; just remember - you saw it HERE first, people.

ThreeAsFour falls into the Gap. (at NylonMag.com.)

The 90s supermodel comeback JUST WON’T END: Stephanie Seymour poses for Pop Magazine (and it is GOOD); unfortunately, you can no longer view it online. Fashionista scanned and posted the whole gorgeous spread and it disappeared a few hours later (now it’s nothin’ but an empty page). I always wondered as to the “legality” of their whole-article scans - either they were asked to take it down or they totally take Axl’s side. My money’s on the former…

And now, for the local news:
Don’t forget about this Sunday’s Crafts and Kisses, a VALENTINE-THEMED craft show from 12-5 at the Josephine Butler Parks Center (2437 15th St. NW)…

…and if you can’t get it together to leave the house on Sunday but you’re just not that into the SuperBowl (”Who’s winning the big match?” “State.”) you can join the DCGF for an online chat and virtual Goodwill Fashions runway show by visiting fashionofgoodwill.org during the second and third quarters of the game. It’ll be just like football, only the opposite.

Boys-gone-technicolor DURKL are featured in Pig Mag; check HERE for the DURKL write-up and HERE for more of Pig, which is a joy to behold.

Finally, be sure to check out the brand new(ish) Redeem blog, and if you’re down for their FIRST EVER monthly “Knit Nite” then be at Redeem (1734 14th St. NW) this coming Thursday (7 February) from 6:30-8, and get in touch via email (info@redeemus.com) for the skinny on what you’ll need to bring. Knitting circles are boss - I’ll totally see you there.

K Says:

I don’t mean to be an asshole, but the mix of regular text and bold text, combined with the mix of regular and bold links makes this column hard on the eyes.
