I may have mentioned once or twice that I love glasses. They are the perfect accessory. Plus they sexy. And interesting. And all of the cool kids wear them. I tend to lean toward sunglasses because after more than a decade in contacts I just can’t get used to wearing my eye glasses during the day. My theory is that since I only wear my glasses right before I go to bed I equate having them on with being sleepy. So when I wear my glasses during the day I feel tired all day long. I am not saying it makes sense, I am just saying that is how I feel.
This past weekend I dragged a friend out of her bed and away from a Weeds marathon to come to Georgetown with me to pick out some new frames at See. I am determined that this is the year that I wear my glasses more. My eyes will undoubtedly thank me. Well it turns out my friend was thanking me as well. Right now See is having an amazing special where is you buy one pair of frames (the cost already includes the lenses too, so there aren’t any hidden fees) they will give you $250 toward any other pair of glasses in the store. The average cost of their glasses ranges from about $219-$349, so basically you are getting a free pair of glasses. There are no restrictions either, you can get any pair in the store. And all of their frames are super stylish, well-made and designs you won’t find anywhere else.
Or you can do what I did and just let your friend who doesn’t need glasses but likes the way they look pick out a pair of frames and have non-prescription lenses put in.
I know there are a lot of steals and deal out there. But I definitely thought this one was worth mentioning.
Go to See now. Thank me later.

I am so jealous. I’ve wanted glasses ever since I was a kid. I love the look of glasses.
January 30, 2009 at 12:02 pmDoes anyone know how long this is going on for?
January 30, 2009 at 12:13 pmI do. This has been going on for quite some time, dear.
January 30, 2009 at 12:47 pmI knew I’m not alone… I also feel like sleeping ALL day long if I wear my glasses. I thought it would get better if I did it more often, but I was wrong. The second I take out my contacts it’s like I took two capfulls of nyquil.
January 30, 2009 at 8:31 pmI went in saturday, picked out a couple frames on the spot. Unfortunatly, the sale ended 1/31.
February 1, 2009 at 9:33 amGreat, no need for me to go then.
But let’s all thank
The kind Ms. Z
For her frenzee
To have us outfitted with the spectacles from SEE.
That might’ve been a helpful fact for Meg to mention in her article.
