I'm not going to say much, but I will say this:
If you thought Richard Chai's womens collection was off the hook, WAIT TILL YOU SCROLL DOWN.
If you are a sneaker fiend, just wait for it - Chai has collaborated with Keds and yielded a too-cool-for-school sneaker line that will be available at Keds stores. I am already budgeting for the grey leather hi-top Pro Keds, and probably some others. No word yet on the adorable Albertus Swanepoel printed biker hats.
You might want to freeze your credit cards before scrolling because you, too, will want it all.
In my experience, the best clothes are the clothes that yield little surprises along the way - an extra pocket, a surprise zipper, a distinct seam (or three). So if you see something here that looks commonplace, you aren't looking close enough - these clothes have it all. What excites me most about Chai's menswear is his ability to innovate comfy classics without making men look like clowns. There are a few designers out there who make really exciting menswear, but most men outside the really brave and really flamboyant would not be caught dead in it. This collection, however, is filled with totally wearable, modern, amazing pieces that any man (or lady who has a tendency of wearing men's clothes, ahem ahem) can easily incorporate into his wardrobe.
Now, I hate to say it, but you really have to see these clothes in person to understand why they're special. But when you're sitting in the front row and everyone around you is smiling, you know the clothes are good.
I went to another show but i have to see whether the pictures turned out semi decent or not...if yes, expect them in the next day or so.
God loves a cheerful giver.
