Gloves are practical.
Mittens are cozy.
Gloves + Mitten = Glittens…practical AND cozy.
Glittens (or convertible gloves, glovemitts) are quite simply the best winter accessory ever. Earmuffs? Boring. Scarves? Meh. Glittens are where it’s at. Not quite satisfied at being just one hand-knit, glittens choose to dominate both the glove and mitten fields. Who knew that by joining forces, ultimate hand warmth and comfort could be attained?
Feeling cold? Mittens up! Need to dial a phone number? Time for fingerless gloves! Glittens are the only hand-knit to provide both dexterous motor skills and frost bite-fighting power.
If you’re more of a crafty type, feel free to knit your own. Like the handmade feel but are artistically-inept? There’s a great selection on Etsy!
Since, as Morgan said, labels are already releasing springwear, now’s the time to snatch up a pair of glittens to fight the February freeze before they are GONE. Do you want to fall victim to the hellish Inauguration weather?? I don’t think so!

for the knitters who want to knit something quick on two needles or want to practice their cableing:

they’re not quite glittens, but excellent for smokers and people who want to keep their hands warm and their fingers free (and can’t knit on four needles)

I just wish I had seen these before last week (and that they didn’t cost $95 or something ridiculous).
