As I’ve said many times before, embassies are the DC equivalent of Disneyland, and starting this or next week I plan to kick off a comprehensive guide to crashing diplomatic barriers and parties, but for now, lets just focus on: The Third Annual Asian-European Short Film Showcase
Starting today and powering through June 13th, the Japan Information and Culture Center, the Alliance Francaise, the Korean Embassy’s KORUS House, Istituto Italiano, the Chinatown Community Cultural Center, the Spanish Embassy, the Indian Embassy and the Goethe-Institut ALL POOLED THEIR RESOURCES together to host a series of live action and animated shorts.
Each evening will be focusing on a duet of countries and their cinematic offerings, (tonight we have Germany and China, tomorrow its Spain and Korea….you get the picture) ending with an international smorgesborg evening at the Italian Cultural Center on the 13th.
All movies are free and open to public (reservations recommended), and tend to start around happy hour time (6:30 or 7pm).
