Chris Anthony’s first exhibition at the Randall Scott Gallery opened Saturday night and runs through Saturday, November 22. The exhibit features approximately twenty works that Anthony drew inspiration for from Victorian and Flemish painters, Caravaggio and photographer Julia Margaret Cameron. He designed the scenes using items from his personal collection, including his models’ wardrobe, masks and props on the set. It’s a far more theatrical and dramatic exhibition than the one it immediately follows, which featured professional dancers in what would otherwise be considered fairly mundane settings. Anthony utilizes both modern digital technology and a large format film camera mounted with vintage lenses dating back to 1870.

Thanks! It’s a great show - his work is gorgeous. You should definitely check it out before the end of its run (Nov 22) if you get a chance.
