June Fatback was, as always, like a sweat lodge parked in a dank rave-loft. I don’t know what a rave-loft is either, I just made it up. There’s really nothing about Fatback that reminds me of a rave, actually. The music is nothing short of eclectic, mash-ups, soul, disco, Journey, you name it. There are no JNCO Jeans last I checked and no glow sticks. However, there is a giant fog-machine cannon that alternately shoots a tornado of fog down from the ceiling every once-in-a-while, which is, needless to say, awesome.
The Fatback crew is available for your dancing pleasure once a month at Liv, the dance club above Bohemian Caverns. We at BYT recommend it to you highly, because the party is tight. And so are your pants. A little bit of persperation might make them tighter, not that you’d mind.

Glad you came, but if you stole a tambourine, bring it next time and bang the shit out of it…we ain’t mad at ya.
