misty, water colored (and blurry) memories by me:
No matter what this was going to be the biggest party on Saturday. Hell, the biggest party this weekend (I demoted Hirshhorn to a regular post as this had such man-up power over it and approximately 5 times more photos.)
In any case: Adrian Loving comes back from World Music Conference in Miami, throws a bash with some of DC’s finest DJs (see full list here), at a warehouse no one has ever been to and before you know it I am wearing a disco ball for a dress, drinking gin and juice (they ran out of vodka so we all had to tap into our inner Nelly), people are either dancing like crazy or taking chair naps, Chris Burns is in a man tank top and it is 4am. Which would not have been so bad had there not been not one, not two but three pre-parties preceding this whole mess.
And now, in three parts:
130+ photos x 1000 words worth each = everything you needed or didn’t need to know about Saturday.

dakota fine parteeee:
and finally, lastly but not leastly, sexy fitsum snapparoos:
If you were smart you just slept in on Sunday.
If you were smarter you went and sang karaoke in Capitol Hill’s finest 7-days-a-week-happy-hour-establishment also known as The Banana Cafe.
If you were smartest you took Monday off to recover.
One out of three is not too bad.
some of these were taken at my humble abode party

April 8, 2008 at 2:11 pmThanks for your positive comment of the day Michael!
April 8, 2008 at 2:23 pmum… no wonder there were hardly any good looking girls anywhere else in the city that night… dayum
April 8, 2008 at 3:14 pmhard hitting cuteness (male/female)! both dc & philly have some undeniable hotties!
April 8, 2008 at 3:31 pmthat damned chris burns wins again with the beard/”man tank” combo. killer party & pics. monday hurt.
April 9, 2008 at 12:29 amthat party was a straight bro fest
April 9, 2008 at 7:01 am10$ cover, plus money for drink tickets, gets you a long line at the bathroom and a generally snooty crowd who reminded me of really watered down version of Buzz.
you guys are good DJs….how come youre playing these Starbucks friendly “warehouse” parties?
two words come to mind- simulacra and simulation.
April 9, 2008 at 8:39 amI would have to agree with “Not to Mention.” While it was great seeing people, and the environment was certainly grimey enough, there seemed to be something missing. Maybe it was the frigid rain outside and the lack of services inside. A dope spot, but not even close to as fun as the infamy that was Gold Leaf.
April 9, 2008 at 7:30 pmIt was nice to be in at a party that was 95% douche-free.
April 10, 2008 at 9:49 amDoes anyone know what became of the rest of the Mt. Pleasant house party pictures?
April 10, 2008 at 11:07 pmDespite the bathroom line situation.. this party was off the hook. I hope there’s more to come!
April 10, 2008 at 11:12 pmHot party. Nice music. Great multicultural crowd. I loved the fact that they played House music and dance music that people can dance to, not stare at dj’s like there at a concert. Do it again.
April 14, 2008 at 3:19 pm[...] But the best and maybe even largest parties IMO have been ones like the affairs at Gold Leaf, the WMC Wrap Up and our more or less nuclear BYT relaunch; near-all-nighters in alternative venues that were just [...]
