Ownership of Club5 done changed hands, making this the very last Upfront Industries party at the club. I doubt if these pix give full impression of how packed the place or how tight the vibe. Rolling drum and bass, no time to rinse out. Floors and floors of body. I could only stand it for an hour. Looking forward to whatever Bobby Jae and Yvonne have next up their sleeves

March 28, 2008 at 3:10 pmThat night was sick! I’ve never seen a Wednesday throw down like that in DC. Signs of FIVE sucking started by bouncers not allowing people to sit on the lounge couches in the back even tho no one was doing any bottle service. Now 5 will be just like all the other pretentious clubs in that neighborhood. Went out with a bang tho
March 29, 2008 at 5:37 pmThings is things. They change, they adjust. The electronic music scene will continue on. Someone else, somewhere else. So long as there’s still some drum and bass around, I for one, will throw in some support.

These pictures are proof that there really was and still is a serious market for underground dance music in this city. Five will be begging for people to come back in 3 months since Tim and Hooman left…
