When we heard that Phillips was starting to host a cocktail party to accompany their Thursday extended hours, we naturally high-tailed it over at first occasion. And it was pretty wonderful. Some kinks still need to be ironed (the in-between music sets was a little too quiet) and if you don’t know where you are going you may end up getting lost, but overall, if you are into feeling young, urban AND sophisticated, we highly recommend you go.

and no matter what, try and find this room. it is on the ground floor, part of the permanent collection and it is, hands down, the best room they have.
I really wish it was actually after hours. I know Phillips is a small museum and they close early, so 8:30 is late for them, but I always work until 8 and will never be able to go to this. And I really, really want to.
Also that’s my favorite room too.
