Another glorious issue of Pandahead is upon us. Although it is unclear whether or not it has been officially unleashed for mass consumption yet, there was certainly a party to celebrate its imminence this past Friday night at Comet Ping Pong.
Despite the fact that Morgan Hungerford did not invite me to contribute this go round, attending her party was indeed a must, if only because of the excellent company she keeps. Would it be an untruth to say, "any friend of Morgan, is a friend of mine?" I think not.
Anyways, I mostly consumed myself with photographing New Rock Church of Fire, because, I mean, what photographer in his right mind wouldn't be drawn to a band that features a smoke breathing dragon, a light-bulb ring of fire, and a topless drummer wearing an American flag as a cape? This was my first in person experience of the band (Morgan's feature article on the group last week being my first major introduction to the fellows), and I walked away impressed. I love a band that puts on a SHOW. I also love a band that plays on the floor, with the crowd.
So yeah, success. Awesome night. Jubilation and all around fun. A testament to Morgan's hard work and all around excellence, BYT salutes you Ms. Hungerford.

people who don't know cameras are like... why didn't you always take pictures this way?
first off, i'm like, "respect the strobe" ... it's a great tool when employed correctly
secondly, people respond to things they're not used to seeing... so it's fresh and new now, later it will get old, quickly
and thirdly, it's not fair. i know.
