The Artini event at Corcoran Gallery on Saturday night drew out Washington's brightest for a delightful evening of fanciful "Artini's" presented by local restaurateurs and chefs. (Couldn't afford tickets? Yeah, I don't blame you, they were like $100!) Let's just say some Artini's were stronger than others... personal fave had to be the one with the candy scissors floating on top, although I have no idea who made it (anyone? PS7-ed.). Could've done without: the noxious Capri Sun boxes which tasted like they were filled with vermouth and rum, ugh. I snatched one looking for hydration, biiiiig mistake.
Seriously though, Hirshhorn on Friday night and Corcoran on Saturday? I mean, it doesn't get much better than partying in world renowned art museums serving specialty drinks. As far as I'm concerned, there should be a museum party in Washington open to the public every weekend. Did someone say Air and Space Museum? Sign me up! "Uh, yes bartender, I'll take a rocket fuel tonic, thank you."
