Above the Conner Contemporary Art Gallery is the Industry Gallery, DC's only functional design installation space, which currently features the large aluminum sculptures of Sholmo Harush which take on the forms of abstracted geometrical shapes. A unique departure the from his collection of angular structures includes a 1993 Ford Explorer covered in 300 pounds of aluminum, a nod to the original purpose of the Industry Gallery space – an auto repair shop.

Conner Contemporary Art and Industry Art Gallery mark a resurgence in the Washington, DC contemporary art scene despite the flagging economy, indicating a new hub of superbly finished raw spaces impressively showcasing diverse and powerful exhibitions.
