The Embassy of Sweden (otherwise known as the House of Sweden), hosted a Eurovision themed party this past Saturday night. If you were at the party and you are looking for images of yourself for downloading you can check the complete gallery here. (FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY!) If you're interested in using the photos for something else, please contact Dakota Fine. (Thanks!)
Despite myself being unfamiliar with the program, I was soon acquainted with some of the historical highlights. (Apparently the show has been running since forever, apologies Svetlana.)
Anyways, I didn't recognize any of the songs really, and neither did most of the other American-born attendees I think, but the karaoke booth eventually just devolved into a normal American Journey sing-a-long. I for one, have stopped believing, about five years ago. Ever since the Chicago White Sox made it there World Series winning song, I stopped believing. My apologies to fraternities across America.
Of course, the highlight of these parties though, is always just the building itself. It is a magnificent place to be, I think probably as evidenced by the photos...

These came out nice.
dakota, I thought we had a deal?
Hey Dakota -
i have some great shots of you doing your thing on stage - let me know where i can send them on - i mean, it's only right that the photographer gets photographed now and again. . . .
never heard of eurovision before? Oh no. typical american kid, not knowing what happens elsewhere, and also confusing a fancy location for an exclusive fancy party! Dumpling, when tickets are inexpensive, open to the public and there is an open bar - it is a party for the masses! Like eurovision, which is the lowest common denominator of pop for the masses. Leave the hipster snob behind for a night and you might enjoy more than the building!
