The vinyls are coming back, one way or another. Based on the popularity of the event, it only seems natural for it to happen again, and again, and again.
Despite all the advances in modern music, some still crave the sound of the needle.
I suppose, what's missing is the ability to hold mp3 in your hands and check it for scratches. The physical value will never be replaced.
For all those who believe that the Som Records/Vinyl District /DC Soul Recordings (apologies for the initial omission-ed) sponsored DC Record Fair @ Comet Pizza & Ping Pong this Sunday was a Godsend. Here they all are, with their new found treasures.

DC Soul Recordings was the other sponsor you forgot to mention
I love these photos of folks with the records they have discovered in the bins. Pretty awesome to see that sense of pride and to connect the music with the face.
This was the first one that I missed, but I'm so glad that this event has become such a success.
i love love love this photo set

And thanks to all the people who came out, 500+ this time!!
Those are some great photos. It was an awesome event and so much fun. So great to see so much enthusiasm for vinyl in DC.
Tats n' titties....ummmm.
we should do it again sometime
Hey, one of the girls from the band Exit Clov is in these photos!
That Sebastian speaks record that's on the front page was amazing...I was standing next to that guy when he discovered it. The record is just a recording of a dog barking. It was meant as a very low-budget home security system. Kind of amazing.
Please DC Soul, Vinyl District, Som Records....do this again!!
though not a vinyl afficionado myself, i appreciate it. thanks for capturing so well.
I love this event and I am looking forward to the next one. Fantastic photos and just a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Check out an awesome list of best qualities for a record store that I found at www.anoceanofnoise.com
