A party so massive in scale and length we had to have photographers work shifts.
(Very snappy) snaps by: Dakota Fine, Sam Goldstein, Jane Briggs, Lexie Moreland, Francis Chung & Alyssa Lesser (phew-with photos added ongoingly so keep on keeping on the checking, ok?)
To recap: It was awesome.
Those 3 words should really cover it but lets just quickly zoom through everything that made January 20th amazing (aside from, well, you know-the obvious):
Amazing bands/acts on not one but two stages from 5pm onwards: Caverns packed to the gills with kids in skinny pants jumping around and eating cupcakes to Buildings, True Womanhood, Laughing Man, FFFever & Love Language. Live packed to the gills with kids in skinny and non skinny pants (very few skirts, it was FREEZING after all) to Mathematicians (best band you had no clue about), Team Robespierre, Team Facelift, Art of Junk & WALE who seriously had everyone bouncing 2 feet off the ground permanently. EPIC.
Plus: Andrew & the karaoke machine, Will & Tig, Lizzie Furr, Katie Balloons who probably wins for the most amazing thing you never thought you'd necessarily see at a BYT party, inflatable hats, COLT 45 flip cup (there are only winners at flip cup), twinkie eating competitions that did not end in puking, people showing up as early as 9 am and staying as late as 4 am, Fatback DJs OWNING Mahagony late night, Mixtape DJs running the Caverns till the cows came home and left again, Billy Dee in the photobooth, and so much running up and down those stairs in hopes of NOT MISSING A SINGLE THING that frankly, I think a marathon may have been less gruelling.
(though probably not as satisfying).
THANK YOU ALL FOR COMING, lets do this again as soon as we sleep it off.

I love the Love Language. So photogenic. And I have a huge crush on both the ladies in that band.
that fat dude, with the afro and stupid outfit is tacky as hell and should just be shot to do him a favor.
