I will just let Fitsum describe this event in his short but ever-so-effective style:
Will killed it.
Tittsworth killed it. (and man, did he kill it)
Metropolitan killed in front of a crowd much smaller than they deserved.
Codebreaker killed it.
I killed my checkcard; 930 club is a seriously expensive place to drink.
AND THERE WAS A GODDMAN DANCE CIRCLE CIRCA 2 AM.
and a rather magical dance circle at that.
what more could you ask for?

she was just feeling it. hard.
January 7, 2008 at 9:47 amNOW do you believe me fools? Best. DJ. Evar.
January 7, 2008 at 9:54 amshe asked me where I’d post the photos. I told her “brightestyoungthings.com”. So she wrote the url on her left forearm. (you can almost make it out in a couple of the shots) Something told me she’d sweat the ink off so I wrote it on a napkin for her.
January 7, 2008 at 10:24 amDid any BYT-ers take pics of Sorted at the Cat on Friday?
January 7, 2008 at 11:16 amThanks for the napkin. I just want to point out that I wouldn’t say I look “angry” in all the pictures….I look straight up crazy in all the pictures. bleh…
And I was feeling it. hard.
January 7, 2008 at 11:16 amI was at Sorted. will try to post on my flickr tonight.
Hip Hop Dan tore it to pieces. Great dj sets all weekend.
the girl with the handkerchief kept doing these intense “punk rawk!!” poses.
pity the photog missed the part where i fell and scraped up my elbow, swiftly bringing the improptu mosh pit to an end.
January 7, 2008 at 1:44 pmsex pistols in dj sets always result in impromptu moshpits adam
besides Flitsum pretty much only takes photos of/with females
January 7, 2008 at 2:10 pmi’d say the dude-to-girl picture ratio is pretty equal.
January 7, 2008 at 2:29 pmi concur
maybe the ladies pose more
sneak into pics, or the guys shy away
but generally it’s pretty even
Fitsum rocks my face
proof positive
Thanks everyone for coming out! Good vibe and lots of energy. The girl w/ bandana was awesome. The Vinyl Meltdown kids were decked out and ready to party and lots of Jesse’s friends from the EDM scene were in the house. He played a ton of rock, indie and stuff I’ve never heard him play before. He’s just simply the dude.
OMG, Codebreaker’s set was FIRE. Did anyone else feel like Nile Rogers and Bernard Edwards were on stage? I’m looking forward to more Metropolitan recordings this year, too.
Sorry you fell and scraped up your elbow, Adam. I grew up a punk rock kid and my NY resolution is to drop more, Clash, Ramones, Sex Pistols, etc.
Fitsum’s pics keep getting better and I’ll stay out of the girl/guy ratio debate but will add thanks for not taking/posting a bunch of photos of me. I really am not so much into seeing pictures of myself on the interweb, but I like seeing pix of people getting loose and happy.
January 7, 2008 at 3:40 pm“I really am not so much into seeing pictures of myself on the interweb” Hate the reminders of how old you are? ha!
January 7, 2008 at 7:17 pmTitts set seemed way more rock than usual, which I loved. Ears are still ringing.
Fits - thanx for snapping up me and Svet doing our spoken word performances on stage, but too bad you missed Gavster’s purple track suit. It was redick. Emphasis on the dick.
Will - I think even Michael would have enjoyed your set. Well, maybe like 65% of it. Ok, 58%.
Sorry, once again wasn’t feeling the Codebreaker. Nice guys tho.
January 7, 2008 at 7:43 pmVinyl Meltdown Up Yo!
January 8, 2008 at 9:57 amGotta agree with Cale. Codebreaker - not weird in a good way.
January 8, 2008 at 10:40 amHow long was Titts’ set? How long did the party go?
Bummed I didn’t make it out.
January 8, 2008 at 3:39 pmabout 2 1/2 hours I think
January 8, 2008 at 4:03 pmParty lasted until about 3:10. I could listen to Codebreaker all day!
January 8, 2008 at 4:38 pmThanks for having us, warm regards.
January 8, 2008 at 9:02 pmthank you, BYT, for solving the mystery of “the lounge lizard”’s identity, which i’ve been trying to figure out since october.
yr gonna need a new secret name for when you’re listening to my radio show now, p-w.
January 9, 2008 at 1:44 amim one slippery little reptile what can i say…
January 9, 2008 at 7:57 am

That girl with the handkerchief about her neck looks pissed off in every photo.
