Last Thursday was the 3rd installment in Freer & Sackler's efforts to take a slice of the Smithsonian "After Hours" game which Hirshhorn pioneered and is obviously the way that museums are looking to reach out to younger audiences these days.
Having said that, it has to be given to them that they really step up their interactivity and educational game during these genuinely making an effort to spotlight whatever show is going on. Which, in this case, was "In the Realm of The Buddha" resulting in craft sessions, live freedom painting, authentic foods, interactive games and more.
Good times were head by all and we look forward to the next Asia After Dark installment on July 15th when DJ Rekha will be in house and the theme will be Bhangra.
God loves a cheerful giver.
