all words & photos by: Lexie Moreland who, while she is a big shot shooter in NYC now, will still send us snippets of shows and people to make us miss her a little less. Or more.
I didn't just listen, I listened.
I didn't just watch, I photographed.
And it was a site.
People caved into this shapely embracing wave, leaving ample space for me to mouse around the floor boards and get some shots after shots of DC's US Royalties. Say cheese. Like nacho cheese. Like Grand Piano Nachos are the best nachos I've ever had.
But yeah, people were severely eye-locked, entranced-danced, under some god send of a music voo-doo spell. The lights were this brilliant organic neon here and there and the boys were playing like they had been best friends with these fans and their instruments their whole lives. I'm saying it was loose but polished, and the vocals, beats, and strums were rich like the material of their dead-on vests.
