If you didn't already know, H Street's Palace of Wonders is one of the few places in the area to see an ab-fab burlesque show. I was lucky enough to catch the show this past Friday and see Sugar Shack Burlesque put on a sweet and tasty flesh show for all to see.
PoW's far off location (read, ghetto) may scare off some wannabe thrill-seekers, but that just means more beer and more popcorn for the rest of us. The downstairs was packed, but there was still plenty of elbow room for a drink at the upstairs bar or a smoke on the outside roof patio. Also, you'll never need to worry about missing the action on the stage downstairs because the bar has convenient TVs hooked up to cameras filming the titty-tassling.
Anyway, most of BYT's readership has probably already heard of the wonders that make up this palace, so I won't drone on. Sugar Shack put on a great show, and it was good, old-fashioned, bawdy fun.
