Brightest Young Things

When I stumbled upon the Trinidad and Tobago Association in upper Petworth early this summer, I knew I had discovered a diamond in the rough. Myself and the Everybody Loves Music crew have worked hard to recruit DC's and Baltimore's heavy hitters, which includes several DJs that are in-demand internationally and are renowned for their work in the studio and behind the decks. However, the success of the party has been a result of the diverse crowds of young and old, black and white that have descended upon the dancefloor with an aura of jubiliance and excitement to hear their own locals create musical magic. Below are a few pictures and video clips from the installment last weekend with Defected Records artists DJ Spen and Marc Evans. Both gentlemen from Baltimore conjured pure vibezzzzzz. Hopefully some of you can respond as to why the party as been personally special to you...

God loves a cheerful giver.

young and old - black and white - AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN! that's why i love hometown heroes, the diversity of the crowd is refreshing and long overdue. it really has made me happy to see so many parties recently with extremely diverse crowds - that is how it should be.

ditto Graham. It's why I'm lovin' DC so much right now. A dream to play for and a dream to party with. so mad I couldn't make this.
