You Can’t Rush Arrogance

You Can’t Rush Arrogance

So, Wikipedia tells me that Oasis have, in fact, released some albums in the 2000s.
I didn’t notice, did you?
I always just thought that after they hit it huge with Wonderwall and Don’t look back in Anger, they retreated to their mansions to stick pins into voodoo dolls of Damon Albarn and let their unibrows rest in peace.
But-NO!
The miracle of the internet informs me that after their 2005 album and 2007 compilation, some demos have been leaked!
And all this AFTER Noel announced that “They would be giving their songs away for free only over his dead body”

The MP3s have been going on and off the internets like crazy but Stereogum and US! decided to go the youtube route (when in doubt….)

So, I quote:
The new tunes (on which they’ve apparently been working since 2001! and they’re still only demos!) see Liam sneer (”Nothin’ On Me”), Noel get sensitive (”I Wanna Live In A Dream [In My Record Machine]“), and Noel get even more sensitive (”Stop The Clocks”).

Go at it:

“Nothing on me”

“I wanna live a dream”

“Stop the clocks”

“Don’t look back in anger” (oh wait!)

Let the judging session begin.

ever since my brother pointed out that Mix 107.3 plays Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova every 10 songs, I have definitely started listening to it (again).

there’s a good, snotty oasis song that might be from the 2000s called “little james.”

It’s nice to revive the memories of sad high school dances and cribbed Beatles records, but Oasis are only relevant for influence/nostalgia purposes at this point.
