Weezer is one of my all time favorite bands.
And Rivers Cuomo is one of my favorite people I never met.
(I will never forget reading this interview with him when I was in college and he announced that "he tried VERY hard to find love online, but Eharmony told him they "have no one in their database that would be a match")

Anyhoo, Weezer is about to release their "RED ALBUM" (learn more about primary colors here) in June and as of today (4/22), their new single "PORK AND BEANS" is all available for your auditory enjoyment.
I mean, its not quite the Sweater Song or Islands in The Sun but IT IS OLD SCHOOL WEEZER MAGIC ALL THE WAY.

and God, the guy to the immediate left of Rivers is so hot
a couple of my swing dancing gal pals somehow got backstage at one of their earlier shows
they're both gorgeous, one is half Latvian (Nina), the other is half Japanese (Naomi)
they said hi to Rivers and he just ran away

i saw =W= open for No Doubt the only time i visited Nissan Pavilion and have been dying to see them again ever since
I read that Cuomo went celibate for 2 years.
it's true, he used the time to learn vipassana meditation, which he hoped would help him reach nerdvana.
also, have you heard cuomo's December '07 release of his home recordings? most of it is pretty awful. appreciated, but awful. am looking forward to giving this one a listen.
