Deep Vs or No Deep Vs, the best chest hair award (not belonging to someone whose last names are Selleck or Connery or Reynolds) goes out to a plumber from Wales - Mr. Tom Jones.
People malign the man a lot but I re-downloaded a bunch of stuff last weekend and the man’s got some pipes. Pretend not to love:
I designed the DVD packaging for Tom Jones TV show and the wealth of imagery was insane. Tom was officially the coolest and had everyone from Johnny Cash to Crosby, Stills Nash and Young as well as Liza Minelli on and then he would come out and sing with them and they seemed to dig it. The backdrop was a three story tall cut out of Tom resting his chin on his crossed arms giving you bedroom eyes. Seeing the man himself dancing in front of this giant leering version of himself has to be seen to be believed.
