they played Working 9 to 5 at Yacht Rock at St. Ex last night
which should have been on the calendar
hilarious

Svetlana Says:

Yacht rock WAS on the calendar.
AND no matter how you swing it- Working 9 to 5 is NOT Yacht rock.
It is Dolly Parton talking ABOUT WORKING.
Yacht Rock by default operates only in a world of pure leaisure.

Michael Says:

Yacht Rock is and always will be gay.

Lindso - I heart Dolly. I grew up with Dolly (and George Jones, Randy Travis, etc). I even watched Dolly’s Christmas Special with the orphans and the cabin and the stardom and the sherrif and the mountain man, etc, this past year and hearted it too.

you know what’s gay? Ripping off something and not even doing a good job of it……9-5? come on. Do a little research next time.

Phillip - huh? This is the vintage video of the day section and that is a vintage video (it’s a clip from a movie but it’s still a vintage video). Make some sense, son. Tell us what’s on your mind.

what’s greater than the song 9 to 5 is on the album “9 to 5 and other odd jobs” is the song she sings about her immigrant friends being deported AND her version of house of the rising sun (everyone else did it, but no one did it quite so “dolly”)

i. love. her.
