So, nothing thrilling (all puns intended) is happening in DC this very second (tomorrow all will change, I am sure) but that just means we have an opportunity to throw a billion random, but (hopefully) endearing music posts at you.
And here is one:
As you may have heard “Thriller” had its 25th anniversary a little while back and while everyone and their mother’s dance instructor (and Randy Jackson with his embarassing “America’s Best Dance Crew”) jumped on the celebration bandwagon, but here is something maybe better than buying a jazzed up version of a record you already own:
Queen Majesty, who is a New York reggae and dancehall superstar DJ, (and from what we hear all around lovely lady) busted out this classy album of covers:

which, unlike most DJ albums, nobly and notably features no remixes of intently tongue-in-cheek mash-ups but offers a terrific round of dancehall covers of all your favorite 80s dance hits!!!

And unlike that sort of embarrassing “50 First Dates” OST (which I do own, because I love my 80s and I love my embarrassing Drew Barrymore soundtracks) is actually cool in that “cannot-wait-till-its-bbq-time-to-bust-these-out” kinda way.
Score some MP3 samplers here and here
and then
buy it here for 9 bucks only and make your day:

so far, Michael Hasn’t Sued

If Mike was gonna sue this dude, he’d also have to sue Rick Ross, whose upcoming album is also called “Trilla”
