Once again, here's your latest dose of THE Hysteria.

KID SISTER's Ultraviolet IS FINALLY HERE!

Kid_Sister_-_Ultraviolet

Easily one of the most anticipated releases of the last two years, Kid Sister's Ultraviolet finally hit shelves on Tuesday. Clocking in at 37 minutes with 12 dance floor bangers, it's easily the best record released by any of the current crop of "alternative dance divas." Featuring guest cameos from Kanye West and Estelle, there are the known Kid Sister tracks, like "Pro Nails," "Switch Board" and current single "Right Hand Hi," but the album is joined by nine other winners as well. Production credits belonging to executive producer A-Trak, as well as Rusko, the Swedish House Mafia, Herve, Sinden, XXXChange, Gant-Man and an all star crew of others. The album's underrated highlight may be Kid Sister's cover of 1982 Chicago house hit "You Ain't Really Down" by Static IV.

TONIGHT: DAVID GUETTA COMES TO FUR!

David-Guetta-One-Love-album

Tonight, the man likely singlehandedly responsible for the sound of a solid chunk of the popular music of 2009, French electro/house DJ extraordinaire David Guetta plays at Fur. Guetta's album One Love features a number of exciting tracks and frequently crosses, melds and bends genres. From working with everyone this year from Akon, Flo Rida, the Black Eyed Peas, Estelle and former Destony's Child member Kelly Rowland, he's had a fantastic year.

Yes. Monday night. 9:30 Club. Burns opens. That is all.

HOT HUMPDAY DOWNLOADS

The wonderful wizard of Nouveau Riche, Gavin Holland returns with yet another track this year. It's his decidedly retro, decidedly Jersey, and decidedly freestyle, Lil Suzy "Take Me In Your Arms" esque take on Amanda Blank's "I Might Like You Better If We Slept Together."  It's actually one that's been around for a bit, but, nonetheless it's now available for public download.

Dave Nada's six hour battle within himself versus alter ego Orlando Villegas at Little Miss Whiskey's Golden Dollar was one of the highlight events of last weekend's social schedule, and quite possibly all year. I had the opportunity to interview Dave for nearly an hour prior to the engagement. We spoke of his fantastic year as a solo and with Nadastrom, as well as his development, creative process, reflections on his history, and thoughts toward the future. It's a rather insightful look into one of the winning bastions of talent and good taste in out city. Do download.

Oh, man...

A thousand face-palms for the Deadmau5 bump...alone!

Joel is ridiculous, and kinda full of hate toward a fair portion of the dance community:

No mention of Audion aka Matthew Dear, nor The Flashbulb aka virtuoso electronic musician+savant Benn Jordan--all part of the MGFest09? The Human Action Network and Acid Wolf aliases of Benn Jordan might produce the most face-dripping, body-jacking tracks of the entire TB-303 revival movement.

Well, I guess any mention of electronic dance music is better than no mention...
