TAXLO RETURNS TO SONAR
SATURDAY SEPT 13!

with special guest
FEADZ!
(Ed Banger Records/Uffie’s Producer)

“Feadz is a child of hip hop.
He started with scratch in the beginning of the 90’s and made his marks in the underground music scene of Paris with mixtapes and diverse collaborations from rap to electro. In 99 he worked on Mr. Oizo’s first Lp “Analog Worms Attack’ on F-communication and toured the world to promote it.
In 2001, he release his first solo Ep ‘High-B’ on Ellen Allien’s german techno label Bpitchcontrol. 3 more Ep’s later, he created the Uffie project, a savant mixture of old school influences to make future music with his former girlfriend at this time and some production of his old pal Mr Oizo. He took this project to Pedro Winter’s Ed Banger records.
He has recently released a new solo ep on Ed Banger, the acclaimed ‘Happy Meal EP’ and has produced several remixes this year.
Feadz continues to play more and more around the world showing what he is best at: a talented dj with no boundaries…playing ‘old to the new’ most exiting music to rock the dancefloors.”

Feadz has played Tax Lo before, last time with Uffie a few years ago, but those who were there know that he totally stole the show. Sorry Uffie! We are totally stoked for his return. Get ready this is going to be crazy!

Simon Phoenix Says:

I think Cale meant what songs do you want to request, but that’s okay because we don’t take requests anyways. Sega was here not too long ago with Blaqstarr (the audio is up at taxidermylodge.com in case you want to listen) and Sinden and Catchdubs are coming. More on them soon. Anyways, who wants some tickets???

I’m going regardless but if I win tickets, I will probably give a ticket (or both) away to some deserving (and broke) friends. Help me help those in need, silvous plait!

Simon Phoenix Says:

Anna, as an employee of Sonar, you are not allowed to enter. Now go pass out some more fliers! haha!

Laya Says:

I can’t say I have a specific song to request, but I’ll say this: I like to dance, and there aren’t enough DJ’s in Batlimore playing quality music to dance to, and not enough venues hosting events like this. So bigups Taxlo, and welcome to B’more Feadz! If you keep the beat going and keep my ass shaking, I’m a happy girl. :)

Marcus Says:

I have been to five of the last six Taxlo events. It’s a great time. Sort of like Phil Spector’s infamous wall of sound meeting a mound of Colombian Marching Powder and a night at the Fillmore West mixed with a streetcorner in the South Bronx…South South Bronx in say, ‘81. Bambaataa’s on the wheelz.

As far as a playlist of requests, I’ll go with a 15 minute hip hop/break beat mix of:

Manu Dibango: “Soul Makossa”
Beginning of the End: “Funky Nassau”
Busta Rhymes: “Don’t Touch Me”
Jason Nevins v. Run DMC: “It’s Like That”
Blaqstarr: “Superstarr”
MIA: “Sunshowers”
