According to two press releases I opened my (weary) eyes to this morning:
You can listen to the whole of Madonna's new (horrifyingly poorly titled) new album Hard Candy(what is this? 1995? and we're in high school?) on her myspace today

And same goes for Jamie Lidell's "JIM"

who while amazing, I feel is going to get shortchanged in this "clash of the album previews".
Now, I haven't actually had a chance to spend 50 minutes each on this before 8 am this morning, and am late for work
but on the basis of this:
and this:
I can pass some judgments.
And you can too.
Which is what comments were made fore
God loves a cheerful giver.
Thanks for the tip. Alas, the Jamie Lidell album is lackluster. What happened to the fun glitch-funk that made "Multiply" so captivating? Instead of this by-the-numbers rehash, I'll check in on some old friends -- Sam Cooke, Boz Scaggs(?!), and Al Green -- whose notes 'Jim' has been cribbing. Still catching him when he comes by in June though.
New Madonna joint sounds fresh. Should be huge.
i like how the dance sequence at the end is obviously just clips, of separate dances strung together.... when will she realize that shes been putting out the same album for the past 5 years?
at least lidell's videos are entertaining.
