Pash Merideth vs Title Tracks Merideth
April 7, 2009 by Svetlana
Pash and Title Tracks (celebrating their 7″ single release) are playing together tonight. As if she wasn’t busy playing a double show we had Pash Merideth ask Title Tracks Merideth Five Questions
This is some I <3 Huckabees existential sh*t!

Pash Merideth:How did you get involved with Title Tracks?
TT Merideth: Well, I have dear friend of BYT, Shervin Lainez to thank for that. After Georgie James sadly broke up, John was looking for someone who could play guitar and keyboards to join his solo act so Shervin recommended me.
P M:I’ve been in Pash for almost 7 years and you’ve been in Title Tracks for less than a year. What’s it like for us being in two bands?
TT M:Exhausting! Both bands practice once a week and Title Tracks has a show almost every other week with the single coming out. Good thing I don’t have a boyfriend because I would have no time for him. But as you know I am always looking for one.
P M:Speaking of the single, what can we expect?
TT M:Vinyl-goodness. I’ve never had a release come out on vinyl so I am very excited about that. I already bought frames from Urban Outfitters (on sale online for 4.99!) so I am good to go. We are all really proud of the single and very honored to have Dischord put it out. Plus my tamoborine skills have really improved since Pash recorded “Down” over five years ago. It took me what felt like a million takes to get that simpleton part right. With Title Tracks, I nailed it on the first time! I guess you could say I have really grown as a musician (laughs).

P M:With Pash Erik Bruner-Yang and I like to interact with each other and I dance all around stage. Any of that with Title Tracks?
TT M: Actually, I’m much more demure in Title Tracks. I’ve always got impish dance moves. That will never change. But with Title Tracks, I have to focus on what I’m playing more. With Pash, Erik likes when I kick his guitar or pretend I am going to hit him in the face with my guitar. I don’t think John would like that very much!
P M:In Pash we are busy demoing songs for a future EP. What is in Title Tracks immediate future?
P TT:John has the full length recorded and he is working on finishing that up. It sounds really great. He is one talented guy, having played everything himself. Hopefully we’ll be playing more regionally and branching up to New York.
It has been a pleasure conversing with myself.
