The band is in NYC for some press Oct 30, 31 and Nov 1. Plans are in the works for a listening party in New York City later this month for anyone that wants to hear it (fans will be included in this!).
NEW ANIMAL COLLECTIVE ALBUM SET FOR JANUARY 20, 2009
Animal Collective is set to release Merriweather Post Pavilion, their 9th full-length album, January 20th, 2009 on Domino Records. The album was recorded in early 2008 at Sweet Tea Recording Studio in Oxford, Mississippi with the engineering expertise of Ben Allen. The album will be available on CD, 2xLP and digital formats.

Their album is called Merriweather Post Pavilion? Seriously? If they come around these parts, they should play the venue of the same name in Columbia, MD.
