Like all things glass, there's a chance for shatter. It can be a good thing. Like walking into Glasslands Wednesday night and catching the last song of a likely soulful set by the Heavy Birds, a three-piece band comprised of a guy with a tom tom drum, and cello hello lady girl, and some tambourine jingling vox. Heart. Shatter. The whole ballad was aligned with a healthy pulse.
But I'd come to see the Spanish Prisoners, who proved as good as their songs online, which were really the hands on the swing that pushed me to come see the show. Tracks like LA Gtr Dream (Blind Man's Color remix) and Still Ill (Smiths cover) are mind losing and wind in your hair. Dip back. Do the spider. Whatever.
