Brightest Young Things

Busy Gangnes and Melissa Livaudais are Telepathe. They're two teeny ladies from Brooklyn, whose voices, layered on top of undeniable digital beats and avant-poppy melodies have been described as: a deep double sheen, tantalizingly coy with fuck-you vibrato. So yeah, if that isn't motivation enough to check them out @ RNR hotel tomorrow, here is a couple of songs from their new full length "Dance Mother", in their own words (they WILL say "penis") to make a believer out of you. Even if Pitchfork thinks they're becoming a little too cool for their own words (what was that saying about the pot calling the kettle black?). Take it away ladies:

imeem and la la streaming options for you, or check them out on myspace

Micheal - it was an adverse reaction to watching "last house on the left," the original movie. Sometimes it sucks to be a girl...also, for real you need more than an ejaculating penis to get a girl off.can the world please get smarter?

Chromes On It - it was kind of one of the first beats we ever made and it was so important because it was officially the transition from us being a rock band, to us wanting to destroy ourselves as being a rock band.

So fine - this was the last song we added to dance mother. We wanted to make something catchy...something that sounded simpler than our other songs.this is the most fun song to play live for us and we love how much kids freak out and sing the hook and dance!!!

And here is a Lemonade song I posted a while back:

Been digging this Lemonade album for a little while now. Reminds me of 2006. A little Professor Murder, a little Out Hud. They're opening for Sebastien Tellier tonight at 9:30 Club. I often make sure I don't over-hype myself for shows, but something tells me these guys are gonna nail it in a live setting. I wanna dance my balls off to this one:
