Brightest Young Things

To paraphrase Libby:
I love Lovvers just like I love Butthole Surfers, No Age, Mika Miko, and the Black Lips.

There is virtually no information about the band online except for that they are from the UK, on Wichita, and make wonderful music videos like this:

WHO WANTS TO PARTY?!?!
Obviously everyone does.
They're playing 2 shows in our neck of the woods this weekend and we figured we'd have them play us some music on the internet beforehand:

OCD GO GO GIRLS

This is gonna be the first single from our new lp, 'OCD GO GO GO GIRLS' (note the extra GO) Which we just recorded at the Tape-Op studio in Portland, Oregon with Pat Kearns. He's recorded some amazing bands including Clorox Girls, Exploding Hearts, The Observers.. Portland is an easy going place where the bums ride the bus for free. The single is coming out at start of August in Europe on Wichita Recordings.
Its one of the first songs we wrote for the record and it complements well the spirit of having fun in summer and listening to the classic tune 'Summer Fun' by the Barracudas, our current favourite record!

AXTXTXIXTXUXDXE

This is a fun short song from our new lp. Shaun our singer did a super lo-fi version on his dads computer when he didn't know how to use Garageband properly. We then spent several hours in the studio trying to recreate the sound using a $50,000 mixing desk and 24-track tape machine! The cymbals are crushing.

Human Hair

Was the lead track on our ep THINK which is our first US release. This was our fleet-fingered guitarist Henry's attempt to write a song which is both non-standard punk rock and easy 4-4 head nodding. We have played this song live hundreds of times and we decided to re-record it for our new record in a new 'smoother summer' style. The sound of the ep compared to the new album is more raucous and amped-up so I guess this comparison documents our 'career development and maturation'. For this song we decided to record a video in Brighton beach on England's beautiful south coast, the premise of which was an Eastern European couple dancing on the beach in their bikinis and shorts, wearing corpse paint, playing with and messily consuming a piece of chocolate cake.
