So, local ROCK GODS FFFever are having their much anticipated EP release party this evening at the Velvet Lounge with a stacked supporting cast of Exactly (another local favorite), Smarts from Baltimore, Raccoon Fighter from the Big Apple with DJ Anna Scho, Bill Scho, and an extremely rare appearance by DJ Mystikal Weed 420. Obviously this is going to be one insane night of music and maybe there will even be a rerun of the famed "Spoon Song" cover from summer camp (including Adrian Parsons on none other than the spoon) In the meantime, check out some tracks from FFFever and what they have to say about the tracks, themselves, and life.
a Few Questions Four – the story behind this one finds a young band in a dimly lit, lofty ceilinged practice space, barraged by an intense summer DC thunderstorm. The rain pounded so hard that it flew in sideways, lacing the drums, guitar amps and dingy rug with wet. And fuck if we didn’t write our first song as a band in those conditions. Raw, minimal, and rhythmic, we haven’t changed a bit about the song since that night.
the one mic reference recording from then that we had of the song stayed posted on our myspace for a long while, as we felt the rawness and feel was strong enough to poke through the lol-fi ness. We made two different attempts at recording the tune in giant metal hangar outside of the gold leaf complex. The echoes were enormous and the attempts failed. We finally went back to that initial demo recording for inspiration to finish this one out.

Socrates – if there’s one thing fffever knows, it’s that it knows nothing. and we feel privileged to share that like-minded sentiment with such a champion thinker: Socrates.
This song is about super principals, supra principles, superstitious princes on the moon, and surreptitious mind bullies.
Eiffel Tower – Erika is a resident of San Francisco, CA. Erika is a 38 year old former U.S. Army soldier. Erika is a former world champion archer. Mrs. Erika La Tour de Eiffel divorced her bow, and married the Eiffel Tower.
