Brightest Young Things

Drink Up Buttercup put on one of the best live shows I've ever seen with my eyes. Chaotic, surprising, and filled with trashcans, it somehow still leaves you hummind the tuneful prog-punk choruses for days afterward.

Recently in anticipation of their album drooping in late March they've been recording home tapes of every song on the record in weird ass spaces and posting them on Vimeo. The results are a hallucinatory combination of 'Help' and "Decline of Western Civilization."

(cont'd) ... I was 5, and all I wanted from life was to be one of the girls that got to dance with them at the party to "I Wanna Be Your Man." She let me stay through all four of that day's showings. I guess she liked it too.

Loved "Help" for the farce and Ringo's shenanigans!
