Well, despite my best efforts to overcome the saga of building 11 spaces for the fringe, I was not able to get this up as timely as I would have liked. None the less......
The second leg of FAST, the music series at the Capital Fringe Festival this summer, is a series of free shows that happen earlier in the evening (more or less).
Kicking it off on Fri. the 10th, experimental noise guru Violet opens things up, not with bang, but with a surge, at 8:00PM.

Then on the 11th at 8:30PM, The April Decca gets us to a quiet space so we can listen to what he has to say.

A band so quirky, I don't even want to give anything away, Jubilee, performs on July 12th at 5:45PM.
If you like minimal, ambient, harsh, synth drone, well, then be sure to check out DCADCNC on July 15th at 5:00PM.
To Live and Fail in the Year 2000 - DCADCNC
And then stick around until 8:00PM to hear DJR and Aural Architect rip it up on the turntables.
Blue Judy plays on both July 16th and 18th, at 5:00PM and 5:20PM, respectively.
Turboslut may be no more, but one of it's members, Beck, is still going strong with a new solo project, Alien Tears. Come see what post, in a post world looks like on July 16th at 8:30PM.
Though they still know how to rock a crowd, Pygmy lush have also meandered into other territories in their long existence. Come see a more alt-countrified version of the mavericks on July 18th at 8:30PM.
Spooboy, from The Max Levine Ensemble, has been performing solo as long as he has also been jamming out in a full band, just to prove that he's good in any configuration. Check him out on July 22nd at 10:15PM.
American Tourist weaves fragile songs together like baskets made of dried grass. At the Fringe on July 24th at 5:00PM.

Following that, a solo performance, that will prove to be more fragile indeed, from local favorite Paul Michel.
You, My Only One - Paul Michel
Continuing the theme of psych for this year's Fringe, we have Moon Pie take us a little further into another dimension on July 25th at 6:30PM.

And finally, on July 26th at 5:30PM, John Bustine takes us out with songs of drinking and caustic revelry.
This Guitars Says Im Drunk - John Bustine
Free, all ages, with a bar, I'm not sure you could really ask for more. So come check out all of the events at FAST this summer.
All of these events will be at the Baldacchino Gypsy Tent Bar at 607 New York Ave NW
God loves a cheerful giver.
