Suckers are an up and coming band from Brooklyn. Are there any other kinds? Mixing two of indie rocks most recent trends, swelling, orchestral melodrama and percussion centered Eastern sounds, Suckers are poised to explode. Or at the very least, provide the background music for an I-Pod commercial. We sat down with them (read: emailed) to find out about what its like to be the next big thing, its penchant for managers and what the deal is with all that neon.
We ran this initially in early March back when they played a super secret bbq show somewhere but today they are back for all to see @ The Black cat so we figured why not rerun it.

BYT: As far as I can tell, the band is set to release its 4 song EP. The band’s myspace reveals that Suckers currently has 2 managers. Will this proportion maintain itself as the band releases more music?
BYT: You guys are about to play South by Southwest. Look forward to seeing anyone in particular?
BYT: Recently John Stewart’s squared off against Jim Cramer of Mad Money. Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne has been talking smack about The Arcade Fire. If your band was going to start a well-publicized war of words, whom would it be with?
BYT: Explain the appeal of neon clothing.
It's only a safety precaution...
