Cornelius, the crazy Japanese experimental pop musician, has just released a DVD version of his latest Sensuous album. His music seems to be made especially with 5.1 surround sound systems in mind as evidenced by his previous Point DVD, which brilliantly set his layered tunes to synchronized videos that put Dark Side of the Moon + Wizard of Oz to shame. I haven’t had a chance to check out the new one yet, but to celebrate here is an interesting track that originally appeared on The Wired CD. This was a project by Wired Magazine to distribute a disc showcasing songs under the new Creative Commons licensing scheme which encouraged people to “Rip, Sample, Mash, and Share”. It also included tracks by Beastie Boys, David Byrne, My Morning Jacket, and other non-shitty artists. Anyway, blah blah blah, whatever, enjoy:
Also check out our (my) crap Cornelius interview and subsequent show coverage from earlier this year.
